Off Page Search Engine Optimization Secret Sauce

Search Engine Optimization SEO Secret Sauce

Search Engine Optimization SEO Secret SauceWhen it comes to search engine optimization (SEO),  it really breaks down to what you can control, the on page SEO, and what is usually outside of our control, the off page SEO.  On page SEO are items that you and I have access to, such as the interlinking of pages on our website, ensuring that our content is fresh and unique, and verifying that we are using the proper HTML tags and schema on our websites.  While on page SEO is a learned skill in order to optimize a site, it is usually a lot easier to tweak than your off page SEO.  When it comes to off page SEO, you are relying on other webmasters or users on social media to either link back to your website, or like, share, tweet, or +1 your site depending on the social media platform.  Their is very little most people can do to control the off page SEO of their website.

That being said, we are giving away one slick method to help you build valuable links back to your website that will help you rank higher in the search engines.  While we always hope people will like and share our content, you do not tend to see a lot of articles or posts from websites being shared or linked to on a viral level.  On the other hand, if you look at how popular images and videos are online you can more easily get people to link to your images if they are unique and cover a topic that people are interested in.  I’m not talking about an image of your cute dog fluffy…I’m talking about images that cover topics that other people are interested in.  I’m sure you have seen infographics while browsing various websites, or on your feed within your social networking accounts.  Infographics are an awesome way to build links from other relevant websites.

Let’s break things down a bit to show you how you can build some amazing links to your website by using an infograpghic.

First and foremost, it is important to find a topic of interest that is related to your product or service.  You can use sites such as Visual.ly and search for a keyword related to your niche.  You can then sort the results by the number of views each graphic received.  By looking at the top results, you can get an idea of what topics people are really interested in.  Once you determine what you want your topic to be, you have a couple of options.  If you are artistically gifted, you can design your own infographic.  If you have a hard time coloring inside the lines like me, you might want to outsource this task to someone who has an artistic talent.  If you are going to outsource the task, the price can range from something costing only a few bucks to something that could cost thousands of dollars.  The price range just depends on how high a quality infographic you are looking to get.  If you want to start small and just test this method out, you can get an infographic for as cheap as fiver dollars on fiverr.

Once you have your infographic designed, you need to find people that are interested in it.  The easiest way to find people would be to search keywords that Use Inforgraphic For SEOyour infographic covers.  Be sure to come up with a decent list of keywords that you can enter into the search engines.  In the search results, look for blogs that deal with your niche and start making a list.  After you have a decent list of quality blog sites, it is time to reach out to the webmasters and see if they would be interested in your infographic.  Check out the contact us pages on the websites you found earlier and send a quick message asking if the webmaster might be interested in your infographic.

When you get a response requesting you send over the image for their review.  If the webmaster likes what you have put together you have a high probability that they will use it on their website and place a link back to your website.  The search engine optimization experts at WebVantage Marketing has been using infographics to help rank our client sites for quite some time.  We have put together a great script for reaching out to webmasters with a high rate of interest for our infographic.  We also have additional methods to generate additional links back to your website using infographics.  If you would like us to help you with your search engine optimization needs, we can help you rank higher in the search engines.  Be sure to contact us today to see how we can put together a successful SEO campaign today!
